2=1's Vision and Its Implication Today

It’s been more than a year since I first had this revelation/realization that what we do in our Married For Life course has a greater significance than even the vision implies. The original vision God gave for the ministry was expressed as millions of twinkling lights around the world. And each of those twinkling lights was a powerhouse Christian home and an oasis for the thirsty world around them.

The vision itself on its own is an exciting prospect. However, what I have come to realize over the past year in greater clarity is the significance of this vision in relation to God’s plan for the end times. In Matthew 24:14, Jesus said that this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.

It is interesting that Jesus was saying that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in (not to) all the world and more interestingly as a witness to all the nations before the end. Our particular ministry which is based on covenant marriage and the MFL course we teach is essentially about kingdom marriage, i.e. the type of marriage God designed for us to have which Adam and Eve had prior to sin. After all, Jesus came to restore everything the first Adam lost.

The gospel of the kingdom has many facets. The central theme is the atoning sacrifice of Calvary and the salvation message. As we all know, it also includes prosperity, divine health and healing and other aspects of kingdom living. I believe it also includes kingdom marriages. We are more than a ministry to marriages to bring reconciliation and healing. We are part of the end time gospel of the kingdom which is to be preached in all the world as a witness of kingdom living. To this end, we not only have an enormous responsibility, but a privilege to be a part of this end time gospel.

Ever since it has dawned on me that what we are teaching is part of the end time gospel of the kingdom, Margaret and I have a greater urgency for what we do. Just as ministries focus on healing and prosperity teaching, our ministry has been called to focus on kingdom marriages. As our vision statement says, we should be lighthouse homes in every corner, which is essentially what Matthew 24:14 says about being witnesses of this gospel. ( twinkling lights ).You can’t be a witness unless you have experienced it.

When we see ourselves as part of the end time gospel of the kingdom, it not only enlarges our vision, but gives a new impetus and drive to bring this word to all corners of the world. We have shared this with our leaders in Australia and elsewhere. Recently I have been convicted that this should be shared throughout our ministry, hence this message. I pray that God will reveal to each one of us how we fit into preaching the end time gospel of the kingdom.
